Here's everything I read in August 2017, excluding regular mainstream single issue comics. . . The George Strait profile, the Cristina Henríquez fiction, and the feature on musical space 'The Tank' in Colorado in the July 24th New Yorker were all absorbing. How had I not listened to Strait before when I secretly dig country so much? . . Baker & Goux's Murders captures the psychological horrors and cruelty of high school alongside some properly terrifying horror-horror. Resonant writing, stunningly artwork. Wish I'd nabbed more of their work at #SDCC. Exceptional production values also. . . Archie vs. Orbital #2 was particularly cacklesome with some really great smaller moments of visual storytelling. Stoked for the next issue. . . Mr. Toast was its usual brilliant existential self, this time looking at modern celebrity and instant fame. . . Lastly, Vol. 1 of Dokudami Tenement by Takashi Fukutani was an unexpected treat. The exhibition we had on at @orbitalcomics was a real runaway smash and while this #manga is super boyish and pretty crass, it's also weirdly charming and irresistibly funny. . . #comics #manga #magasines #books

Du scotch, de vieux magasines et le tour est joué ! Je parle bien entendu de FKDL (Franck Duval) et sa technique (Art scotch) créée par Gil Joseph Wolman dans les années 60.
