The idea for this piece came to me when I heard about this story Cullen told about a recruit walking into the dining hall (doesn't say where but it's very likely at Kinloch Hold) in his underwear. So I wanted to draw a bunch of mage apprentices reacting to that. It's roughly based on this photo, with some edits to make everyone a little more visible. I borrowed a bunch of mage apprentices from the Alistair Nation server. I had a lot of fun and hope I did them justice.

Remember Monach? i might have a chance to RP with him and i‘m so happy about it that i’ve decided to work on his design again. I think i’m getting somewhere with this, tho i should probably accentuate the dark circles a bit. Poor kid does not sleep much.

Connor Guerrin

Connor Guerrin is the son of Arl Eamon Guerrin and Arlessa Isolde, nephew of Bann Teagan Guerrin and cousin to King Cailan Theirin and King Alistair Theirin. Connor began to demonstrate magical abilities at a young age. According to the laws of the Chantry, this would result in the child being sent to the Circle Tower for tutoring, as well as forfeiting all rights to lands and titles. Scared of losing her son and ashamed of his magical power, his mother Isolde, the Arlessa of Redcliffe, decided to hire a tutor to teach the boy in secret, the Blood mage Jowan. Her intention was that Jowan would help her son not only control his powers, but also conceal them from others, allowing him to escape the grasp of the Circle and the templars. However, Arl Eamon was poisoned by his political rival, Teryn Loghain. In an attempt to save his father's life, Connor naively allowed himself to be possessed by a desire demon, making him responsible for the hordes of undead attacking Redcliffe Village at night.
