Ayo, I just wanted to let you know that you've inspired me to write my own Metroid story. It's called The Engineer and is a slice of life story with Samus and the reader on a lone colony at the border of the galactic rim.

Can Samus cook?

Is she a good cook? Like chef level of cooking or good talent?

No.

Is she a master of the grill and can BBQ like no one else's business?

YES.

I am a firm believer Samus HATES Galactic Federation MRE's. Her now relatively alien body can't take the processed foods like she used to. Now, she eats alien meat cooked and raw (: but for her s/o she will get creative and try out grilling and BBQ. Maybe she'll buy some spices and stuff to marinate the meat, but that's as human as her culinary skills are going to get.
