Stormwind City.
The area used most by Alliance players, especially those that are roleplayers. I used minimal editing for this screenshot, changing only the contrast, saturation, levels and vibrancy. I feel like the natural sunny day lighting works well for the screenshot alone.
“A gentle breeze passes through the canal, creating small, streamlined ripples along the surface, hiding the sight of the crabs resting beneath the waters canopy. The sun shining brightly down upon the Ochre yellow roofs of Cathedral square, making them a deep, mucky golden, creating warmth for all that were within the city. It never rains within Stormwind.
The cathedral’s spires can be seen peaking through the rooftops, inviting those with the holy light strong within them to take part in their daily mass. Paladins, Priests, citizens who just believe all gathering. A diversity of races who believe the holy light; Humans, Draenei, Gnomes. Dwarves, even some Pandaren.
As the thirteenth hour passes, thirteen rhythmic dings filter through the streets of the city, sung by the cathedral, noting everyone of the time. The busy nattering of the people of Stormwind subtly heard. Markets, shops, cafés, restaurants, all creating their own familiar noises. Clipping hooves of men and women leaving the city upon horseback. The clanking of the plate of the guards patrol. The sound of all different kinds of birds leaking from the Mage district.
The range of smells from the city can be smelt whilst walking through the streets. From pleasant smells of restaurants, brews and alchemy shops. To unpleasant smells of sewer, urchins, canals, and not so successful alchemy shops. Making your way to the Dwarven district the noise of clanking plate and mental against hot irons, the smell of burning tickling the pavements, drifting into the distance.
Stormwind is a pleasant but diverse city of the Alliance. “
