Good question! This is one that certainly comes up a lot.
The most cannon answer we have for god tier fa8ric is: "Pajama fa8ric" (I 8elieve it was Dave that said something specific a8out this.)
Pajamas are made out of all kinds of materials, 8ut the important thing to consider when making a god tier outfit is how it is going to lay and settle. This is very important for things like the points on hoods and seams. Fleece is one of the 8est choices for this 8ecause of how it wants to stand, and how easy it is to finish edges and seams, how you don't have to add a lining ect.
Now, when making a god-tier outfit that isn't made of such a heavy material, you will need to make a heavier "material". What does that mean? Well, it essentially means that you need to make a "material" that will 8e more stiff and give you more support. You can do this in a few ways, either 8y dou8leing up on thinner fa8rics 8e adding an extra lining, or adding a 8reatha8le support material.
You can go with a fa8ric such as cotton, 8ut you will need to line it with a fusi8le interfacing. This will give it the stiffness you need and the heat you don't. And you don't need much, just enough in the hood to keep it from looking like a thin, cheap sheet of pasta.
Hopefully I'll 8e a8le to re-ctre8 my hood tutorial with different fa8ric choices someday, 8ut until then, good luck with Crockertier my heiress supreme!
