Still feeling rather jetlagged, the first thing Jayden did once he arrived back in Westwick from Cannes was to check in on Maggie. Since he wasn’t exactly close to his family safe for his cousin Andrew, Magdalena had always been his safe harbor. He sent a text to her, announcing his arrival and then stepped under the shower for a much-needed and reinvigorating shower. Once he was out, he sent James a text too and, since Maggie had asked to see him because she wanted to ask him something, he figured he could take her out for lunch, which was better than showing up with coffee and nothing else. With his money running short, he didn’t have enough to buy anyone souvenirs, so he thought that lunch was better than nothing.
After letting in on his plans with her, Jayden threw on some comfortable clothes and made his way to his best friend’s office. He knocked twice and let himself in when Maggie allowed him. With a smile on his face, he took her in his arms in the biggest bear hug he could muster and planted a kiss on her cheek. “How’s my favorite girl doing?” Throughout his trip, he kept sending her as many pictures as possible, especially from whoever he could see that was famous. Honestly, he felt like a child in a candy store. “You done here, Maggie? Let’s grab something to eat and then you can tell me what you wanted to tell me...”
