One thing that is funny about Weequay religion I can't get over:
"Some Weequay took to worshiping a child's toy which generated random answers to questions posed to it, simply on the grounds that it was small, round and white and bore a passing resemblance to the moon. They believed that Quay inhabited each sphere and was replying to their questions."
They worshiped a magic 8-ball, guys.
One of my all-time favorites.
here are some spooky self-portraits <3 happy halloween !!

It was just pointed out to me that Magic 8-balls have D20s inside, which just makes me want to try playing D&D with one. It’d be wildly inefficient, but hilarious.
Me: “I attack the goblin! Does my sword hit?”
D20: “Reply hazy, try again.”
Me: “Okay, I guess it’s suddenly foggy in this forest. I attack again. Now?”
D20: “Outlook not so good.”

8-Ball Oracle
There are many tools used for prognostic8ing. This is, for some reason, one of them.
[ ] Endless 8-Balls – Through tremendous fortune and the machinations of the universe, you always have a Magic 8-Ball to hand. Of course, you carry one with you, but should you be deprived of it for some reason, you will find the next drawer or chest you open will contain one, or one will be delivered to you momentarily, or one will simply roll across the floor and bump into your feet. You know that it is better not to question where exactly they all come from.
[ ][ ][ ][ ] Oracular Verific8ion – Of course, Magic 8-Balls aren't magic. They can't really tell the future. But they're as good a means as any to achieve randomized prophecy, which you can then verify with magic. Whenever you ask a question about the future of a Magic 8-Ball, the GM rolls 4 d6 secretly and you roll 4 d6 publicly. The GM will then tell you whether the 8-Ball's prophecy is Certain, Likely, Unlikely, or Wrong. If half or more of all 8 dice rolled show a four or higher, the GM must answer truthfully. Otherwise, they may choose to lie. For each level of Oracular Verific8ion, roll one of the secret dice publicly instead. You cannot repeat this by asking the same question multiple times unless enough circumstances change that the true answer may be influenced.
[ | ] Cre8 Credibility – When you hand someone a Magic 8-Ball, they will be overcome with a sudden belief that it is a genuinely magical item capable of oracular prophecy. This will last until they have asked it d6 questions, at which point they will become disillusioned with the device. If they have any knowledge of magic of the mind or divination, they will likely realize they were deceived with magic.
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] Fascin8ion Cloud – By smashing a Magic 8-Ball against a surface, you can create a cloud of dark blue vapour, about 5 feet in radius, centred on the point where the ball broke. It will linger for d6 rounds per level of Fascin8ion Cloud. Anyone caught in the cloud or who steps into it will be shown a vision concerning whichever question about the future is most pressing on their mind. The vision will have absolute no bearing on reality, merely a random what-if scenario provided by the cloud to give some answer to the question. If the person seeing the vision becomes uninterested in it, or has reason to doubt it, they may make a willpower or wisdom roll to dispel it from their mind, succeeding if the result exceeds twice your level of Fascin8tion Cloud. Otherwise the visions will persist, blinding and deafening them to the world around them, until the cloud dissipates or they leave the cloud.
[ ][ ] Dict8 Prophecy – Whenever a Magic 8-Ball is consulted in your awareness, you may decide what answer it shows. At second level, the answer you choose need not be something already written on the icosahedron inside the ball. If you do this before using Oracular Verific8ion on the answer, the GM takes half the dice that would be rolled publicly (rounded up) and rolls them in secret instead.
Him, on one knee: Will you make me the happiest man on Earth and marry me?
Me, beginning to cry: God damn it I knew I shouldn’t have listened to my mom and leave my Magic 8-Ball at home. Now how am I supposed to decide?
