(besides canon) what caused hyness to stop making magical children?

as the eldest of three children i can tell you that three children is more than enough children for the average 2-parent household let alone a lone old man with a questionable grasp on how to take care of children 

also Zan asked him where he was finding multiple children (that look eerily similar to her, but she didnt mention that) and he didnt have a good answer

Has anyone done

That ring on a strand of hair that tells you how many children you will have an the genders? I did it over 20 times and got the same results every time, and tried it with a friend's hair and it did nothing. It's crazy cause my friends who have kids did it and got it right. Apparently I'm going to have 3 boys and a girl, in that order.

Still got magic children on the magic brain.  Used fencing poses as reference for Daniel’s duel with Instructor Veilleux.  There was a fencing demo at a con I recently tabled at, and I learned a very valuable lesson: fencing is crazy!  They must have springs in their shoes.
