It is huge to a non-game breaking degree (it can still fit through 1 block high holes by crawling. Just barely).

Does Cutter freak Kirby out, it's basically a blade but with the physics of a boomerang and Kirby fears blades.

ya it's all blades. many blades out there both Copied and in normal life. however Cutter has some useful qualities that Sword doesn't have so he gets more use out of it. Not usually in combat though

Do Fransica and flamberg re equip their blades during the final fight, they seem like they would be more focused on killing the one they felt was partially responsible for their masters downfall.

Star Allies diverges quite a bit before that point. By the time Void Termina is summoned for the first time, Flamberge and Francisca are just trying to convince Zan to leave the cult with them (too late for that) (failure) (they're still sacrificed). By the time Kirby faces Nil for the last time in Another Dimension, they and Hyness are firmly on the side to stop Nil from destroying existence as they know it. They've re-equipped their blades, yes, but they're no longer turned against flesh and blood beings that Kirby is so scared of slicing open.

utterly enamored with your sir arthur. peak rendition you are more right than anyone who wrote the anime. i am rotating him in my head and imagining the inevitable angst when his first recruits realize he's a scoundrel and whatever he managed to do to keep them on board he is so fucking barbahe i put him in my blender and press the button while its unplugged and watch him squirm in fear

Unfortunately, his first recruits are his preexisting friends who already know him well - well enough to know that, despite the flaws in his personality and his own belief that he is a bastard fuck, at his core he is someone who genuinely Cares where it matters. And they have faith in his abilities to whip up an Organization and run it / keep up whatever persona he needs for it to happen. If this asshole's good at anything it's making a sales pitch and managing resources.

The crowd that'd be the most displeased with him would be the ones who bought the Shining Hero of Justice Rising Up Against Evil Incarnate spin on things. But he's courted other crowds - rival corporations who were threatened by HNC or hoped to gain something by rifling through its corpse afterwards, existing militaries of local nations who would prefer to not have some evil wizard corporation threatening their independence, mercenaries looking for pay... The GSA was a diverse crowd at its peak. This let him gather a large force and secure funding quickly, but it did also end up being the army's demise as the war dragged on and parties who weren't in it for Justice And Freedom Or Such started getting out of dodge.

Not enough people out there recognized him from his days playing at being a shady manager for the (allegedly) Strongest Warrior In The Galaxy (status not verified by third parties), or things might have shaken out differently from the beginning.

AU Zero musings copypasted under the cut it's text not screenshots

These things (matterlings rn) were created as Zero's attempt to bridge this gap between Him and the entire goddamn rest of the world. He has always been extremely curious in his own way and he would LIKE to understand. He would like to. But he's too goddamn "big". Even observing passively, he is a threat (both real and perceived) to the smaller beings being watched. He's developed a habit of mostly remaining dormant/"asleep", and letting the matterlings do the watching for him.

Through the matterlings he sort of gets to experience a point of view closer to Literally fucking anything else that inhabits it. Each individual matterling can and does develop their own personalities as they go out and gain unique cocktails of experiences. They freely share information amongst each other and with the sleeping Zero, but they’re distinct individuals - as long as Zero is asleep. Zero’s will is final and overrides everything when he is active; they’re only a part of him, after all.

They don’t dislike Zero at all. They’re him and he’s them. But it is in their best interests for him to stay asleep, and they can see that, frequently, it is also in the best interests of the many other creatures of the world that he stay asleep.

There unfortunately remains a fundamental barrier of understanding between Zero and the matterlings. The waking, fully conscious Zero still can’t really comprehend the pov of the lesser beings. The scale of their experiences are just too vastly different. The matterlings' memories are like dreams to him; distant, vague, even the moments of clarity being shaky in its context once under the scrutiny of a waking mind.

The matterlings have a better understanding of the various normal beings of the world, though of course being a hivemind situation they’re definitely different. They themselves are aware that there is an insurmountable gap between their worldview and Zero’s, and they do not hesitate to warn others of this when relevant.

It isn’t an antagonistic/combative relationship at all. It just is a fact of the matter.

How would I describe the way Zero cares about littleguys like us… He loves ants. He genuinely does love ants. But it is very very difficult to recognize and keep track of individual ants. It's not impossible but it is very very difficult. You care for and watch a whole colony yeah? Not individual ants. And ultimately if a colony of ants has to be destroyed for whatever reason (invasive, infected with pathogens, etc) then that's sad but ultimately it is what it is. There will be other ant colonies eventually, as long as the ecosystem remains intact enough for them to return yea?

With that analogy in mind. If a little civilization starts gaining a lot of power and starts doing shit that might jeopardize the integrity of the universe. Well. Better nip that in the bud. So sad! But if you let them fuck everything up now then there won't be future littleguys after them. We cant have that.

The Great Filter of Fermi Paradox fame actually loves you and wants to make sure more of you can come after your inconsiderate ass gets #Filtered. This is for your collective own good. Sorry and goodbye

I am still waffling on stairs placement but otherwise pretty happy with my layout of the main areas of the Lor that are meant to be accessed by organic passengers. She definitely has a lot of small maintenance tunnels meant for access through small RC units or what ever

She does have ladders, but areas meant to be accessed regularly by organic passengers have stairs, because she was built by floaters and in my shit they have difficulties with vertical ladders. Yay

favorite word?

idk if u meant to ask my kirby blog but I don't have a favorite word. However this reminded me that I have loved the mouthfeel of Carbon Dioxide for a very long time. And this in turn reminded me that I've been really into carbon monoxide poisoning recently like just as a concept. Which in turn reminded me I've been fiddling with the biology of Magolor's species again and I've decided that their blood uses a mixture of Hemerythrin and Erythrocruorin as oxygen carriers, to rly play up the He Is An Alien vibes (most large complex organisms in this region of space uses Hemoglobin). Hemerythrin doesn't bind to Carbon Monoxide as readily as Hemoglobin does, so in theory a creature that uses hemerythrin would have a higher tolerance for CO than an Earth human would. And I think it would be really funny if the Lor didn't have carbon monoxide detectors.

Anyways I think my favorite word might just be "Oxide" maybe perhaps

my unscientific bloodcolors notes I was doing on a canvas in January as a visual. I threw in the erythrocruorin into the mix both as another alienfactor (an organism using two different oxygen carriers at the same time is uncommon, though not unheard of on Earth) (i forgor who does it) but also as an excuse to shift the blood color away from the purple/magenta end and push it a bit more towards the red end of the Pink Zone. And to keep the blood a shade of red when deoxygenized, as hemerythrin on its own is colorless when deoxygenized. It is unscientific idk if it would actually do this colorwise. The science of blood color is more complicated than simply what compounds r the oxygen carrier
