Day 7 of Inktober 2019: Enchanted.
I just want to be a weather witch. Sunset tinted spectacles please.
Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) and Ginko (Mushishi), both cardholders of the invisible creatures club.
Magic Spectacles
Oh sight is an unusual thing,
So many ways to improve,
Such obvious tools to us.
Wouldn't it be great if they didn't,
If magic spectacles did nothing for sight,
No seeing through walls,
Or revealing hidden things.
No infrared vision,
Or seeing in the dark.
What if the glasses were just that,
Frames enchanted to be hearing aids?
Or sunglasses that create an umbrella,
Useful for any weather.
It would be so much more interesting,
Than that same old story again.

Auto-Adjusting Prescription Lenses...
Can someone please, please, please invent some auto-adjusting prescription lenses for those who have glasses? And make them last like five to ten years so we don’t have to spend a fortune updating our lenses every two years?! Glasses are so expensive...we have prescription goggles, now we need auto-adjusting prescription lenses! Y’know, like the ones you often find in a lot of Harry Potter fanfics...it’d be very handy and you’d have a lot of grateful, vision-impaired adults. Make them available to adults only (because kids bodies continue developing until they’re 18 or so) and set them at a single price for all locations across the globe; say, $300NZD with an included eye test and various applications (lense thinning, anti-glare, etc.)...I know it’d probably reduce the amount of optomestrists needed but at that sort of price, once every five or so years, with billions of people needing them...well, still good pay. It’s not something I can do, nor do I fancy thinking about too many details of...I’ll leave that to the science-y people.
