👫 four headcannons | @stillalostgirl​ | accepting 

1. They’re eight the first time they meet, Rose is awkward and Emma is lonely, they’re both full of too much hope and Rose decides (after promptly dumping her pencil case on the desk beside the blonde) that Emma and her where going to be the very best of friends. 

2. Rose believes that she could not have made a better decision in best-friends because Emma is brilliant. She’s smart and she’s kind and Rose wishes that they could be sisters. Her Mother loves her enough as it is, it wouldn’t be too hard. Rose doesn’t know that it will be a week before Emma goes, neither does the blonde, although she suspects that Emma always has an idea; but she makes her promises, that she will always remember her. That she will always always always, come to Rose when she doesn’t know what to do or where to go because Rose will always be there. Because Emma is wonderful and worth being cared for.  They lock fingers and it’s law. A week later Emma is gone. 

3. They don’t see each other until their very nearly (but still too young and years away,) adults. She hadn’t expected the bump or the glasses (she knew the near misses with all those poles was not a coincidence) and Emma is lost and frightened but they’re still friends. They had made promises and Rose would never break it. So she ushers the blonde into the home and although they’re both so different, nothing has changed and this is where Emma, and (”Rose jr! Please Em-ma!”) the baby will stay because this, is home.

4. Her Mother loves Emma, dotes on her and scolds her, ignores the not so subtle, I can’t raise the baby, and you have so much love, and security. Her Mother firmly believes that Emma is going to do something, Rose agrees and so does, Henry, (he just doesn’t realise it yet). Henry who is a boy and very much not Rose Jr, is born and he is perfect. Rose likes to tell Emma that daily, usually as she is pulling faces at him over breakfast when they’re both getting ready for school because he is and Emma has done more then wonderful. 

---Jelly likes the small human too and grudgingly accepts that Emma to, should be shown some form of fondness for the baby.
