Vom Hip Hop zum Folk

  Hinter dem Synonym Wake Owl, versteckt sich der gebürtige Südkalifornier Colyn Cameron. Der Singer/Songwriter beschäftigt sich schon stolze 10 Jahre mit der Musik. Dabei waren die Anfänge sogar im Hip Hop, was aber anscheinend nicht so sehr gezogen hat. Nach den Raps auf dem Schulhof hat er sich so langsam mit der Gitarre angefreundet und nun ist es soweit uns seine Debut-EP Wild Country erscheint am 29.Januar und kann bereits bei iTunes vorbestellt werden.

Sein Sound wird der Folk-Genre zugeordnet. Das Highlight ist ganz klar seine sanfte etwas raue Stimme.

Zu der Hitsingle Gold gibt es natürlich auch gleich einen Remix obendrauf. Das schöne sanfte Stück wurde von niemand geringerem als Noah Hyde und Magic Sword in die Hand genommen.

Noah Hyde hat schon Remixe für Two Door Cinema Club oder Youth Lagoon produziert. Er weiß also was er macht.
