These wand-shaped cake pops will transform an ordinary cake pop into a magical treat. Ideal for Harry Potter fans or themed parties!
Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup milk. 3 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup chocolate chips. 1 package candy melts assorted colors. Cake pop sticks. Edible glitter optional.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pop mold. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake pops to cool completely. Once cooled, crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl. Take small portions of the cake crumbs and shape them into wand shapes. Melt the candy melts in separate bowls according to the package instructions. Dip the cake pop sticks into the melted candy melts and insert them into the wand-shaped cake pops. Dip each wand into the assorted melted candy melts, covering the entire surface. Allow excess candy melts to drip off and place the cake pops on a parchment paper-lined tray. Optional: Sprinkle edible glitter on top for a magical touch. Let the cake pops set completely before serving.
