He doesn't look at the newcomer for the moment. He doesn't know them, but obviously his distress had brought them over.

He doesn't move from the ground long enough it seems he won't, until finally, Arthur sits up. His voice doesn't come out still, and he keeps his head bowed.

"..............S-sorry. To-- To bother you....." It's small, halting, but it's all he has in him to manage at the moment. Each word felt sharp in his mouth, formed wrong. He's too numb, too empty. They don't feel right anymore, but then again, neither does he.

Mono certainly gives her a look, eyebrows furrowing together while his face pinched in thought.

“W-well, I don’t see how it could hurt?” Hesitantly, he bends at the knee and partially crouches, bowing his head enough so his ears were close enough for her to reach

Arthur put down his pencil and turned around with a somber expression.

“Is there a risk of ending up A) in prison, B) in the newspaper, or C) the morgue?” He asked, punctuating each option with a raised finger. “Because Lance said I’m not allowed to show up in the paper anymore unless I’m dead or getting an award.”
