Hello.
@magicinavase - Corrupted Destinies
It wasn't OK. Not at all
Maza and Professor Clark took several days to determine the newest acquisition to the University Museum was a very elaborate counterfeit, it could have been passed as original if they weren't very careful - and Maza's particular special talent to recognize real artifacts. The thing was they had excavated the original artifact themselves, it was misplace somewhere along the shipment. The police was particularly unhelpful in this case and the professor told Maza they should lay off and forget it. But of course the girl wasn't willing to let it go.
After some investigation, she found out it was probably stolen by a criminal known only as the Supreme King. Maza heard about him before: a mastermind whom took the city's underworld by storm, most lowlifes works for him directly or indirectly, and bribing the right people he is virtually untouchable. The girl was scared, but she decided she wouldn't be intimidated by him. Finding out were he was going to be wasn't easy, but she found he was going to watch one of the underground dueling rings he promotes. Using fake a ID, she got inside the building. Once inside, she could see the seats reserved for the Supreme King: it was a glass-like cabin in a higher place, impossible to see what is happening inside. But getting into there didn't seemed to be a problem, there wasn't any visible security outside - either they were inside or the kingpin didn't deemed like he needed them.
♒: Our muses are at the beach together, by accident or not, and yours was a bit too close to the waves- will my muse laugh or perhaps be helpful?
The first exchange between the kingdoms was a great success and it was time to the Egyptian representatives to return to their home country. The prince offered to accompany the party until they reached the sea, and both his father and the foreigners agreed.
Most of time, the young man kept a more serious and respectful attitude, fulfilling his duties as royalty and acting on his father’s steed. But whenever he had a chance, he could spent some time having a more laid back chatter with the young priestess apprentice, as he and Mana grew closer during that time. Her master, Mahado, kept an watchful eye on the duo. Not because of he suspected they could behave badly, but something about the prince caught his attention. Mana, obvious to what her master saw would grow annoyed with the vigilance at times, but was quickly soothed by the prince’s calming words.
The travel was peaceful until they reached the beach. It would take a while to move the crates - filled with gifts from the hosts - from the carriages to the vessel. Unable to stay sitting down any longer, Mana jumped out of the transport to the soft sands. Soon she was followed by a smiling prince.
Laughter echoed in the beach as the two teenagers played on the waves, with the tide barely hitting the middle of their calves. Kicking the water and running around, they were like two big kids. Distracted, the boy moved a little farther from the sand and didn’t noticed a bigger wave coming.
" Look o—-" Mana tried to warn, a little too late. Before she could do anything her companion was hit by the water and fell back dragged by the wave, sitting down in the sand.
" Are you al—" the priestess was interrupted by his slow crackling becoming a full-fledged laughter. It was so contagious soon she joined him and they didn’t even saw the second fierce wave….
Another 5 have entered the village
Seth tilted his head, waving at the group with a smile. "Hiya!" he chirped, looking the group over. A blond boy who looked a little like Jono, a pale white-haired male, a tan white-haired male, a girl who didn't look quite human, and an older version of Mana. ...Odd. "What brings you all to Cairo?"
"Well, hello there." He smiled brightly at the familiar and new faces. "It's good to see you."
"Hi there! I'm Yuugi Mutou. Nice to meet you!"

Atem looked up from his spot on the throne (don't tell the Pharaoh!), waving at the newcomers. "Hiya guys!"
