It’s long nights like these that I miss you the most. I miss when I knew I had someone. When you first said hi to me. When we talked day and night getting closer every day. When you finally asked me to be yours with your voice breaking because you were so nervous and I almost cried of joy. When I longed for the day to start so I could be with you again. When I felt wanted by someone. When you’re arms wrapped around me as if you were scared to let go. When just the sound of your voice made butterflies flutter in my tummy. When your smile brightened up my whole day. When you whispered how much you needed me as if the thought of it hurt you. When we made silly stories that kept us laughing all night. When you sung me to sleep. When you knew something was wrong and you did anything you could to make me smile. When your lips sent sparks through my every muscle as they touched mine. When you still loved me.

But now I’m here in this dark and lonely state of mine reminiscing through the memories of us and wondering if it was worth all the pain I’m in.
