I feel like Ishimaru has always been a little bit mentally unstable

I think I'm going to make this blog a normal (canon) Ishimaru blog. I kinda wanna do something with Ishida in it too

I feel like mastermind!Ishimaru wouldn’t wear the white and black of hope and despair. I see his normal character as one who sees the world normally in black and white. There’s good and evil, and the two don’t mix. I think that’s why Ishimaru was so surprised and upset at Chihiro’s trial. Mondo’s white hope mixed with black despair. Ishimaru couldn’t handle the colors blending. His whole world changed when hope and despair mixed. Then Ishimaru fell into despair. So I propose this: what if mastermind!Ishimaru wore gray. It’s an ugly mix between hope and despair. He despises hope and what it does to people, but he can’t feel true despair unless hope adds corruption to despair.
