what advice can he give her? beyond his problems being on a MASSIVELY smaller scale than hers were, he was hardly a reliable source. he’d saved one city, and that was at the cost of his entire family. he leans against the battlements, head aimed down, but eyes lifted to her, to analyze her through his lashes, though it isn’t as subtle of a look as he thinks it is. “tell me, lady herald, how does it feel to have the weight of the world on your shoulders?” the smile he offers her is small, but sympathetic. it quickly shifts to strained humor. “i have some small idea, but you carry it off far more gracefully than i could.”

He cut down on the giant’s head, gooey fluids creating a fountain - gory as it were, The Iron Bull guffawed, carcasses of the monstrous beings all around them, in the Emerald Graves. He turned to the Herald, her blond hair shining in the Graves’ pale sunlight - her mark had been crucial to the killing of the giants, who granted, were considerable foes. “Boss - this has been so fucking awesome. Drinks on me!” Aside for the fact there were no taverns to be found, he was too enthusiastic to not want to celebrate their if not small, proud victory.

“Is there any way I can help you, my lady? I do not think I have seen you up here before?”
"Oh everything's a mess.."

“I hope you are not just realizing that, Herald,” she deadpans. Leliana had intended it to come out as a playful tease, but there’s a certain exhaustion about her right now. She chalks it up to a combination of grieving and the whirlwind of events transpiring in the wake of the Conclave. She sighs with a shrug. “We’ll work through this. On the bright side, I think Cassandra has sufficiently scared Chancellor Roderick into silence. He should not be bothering us for–” She gives it some thought. “– a few days.” Unfortunately, she’s well aware of how the Chantry works and how the people who work within it like to complain. It won’t be long before the Chancellor gets his courage back.

The male shifted, having looked over everyone to make sure they weren’t injured before walking back to them from the spot he’d been fighting in. He took a ragged cloth from his pocket, moving to wipe the blood from his face and tuck it back into his pack. He didn’t mind the blood on his clothes as much but it settled on his face? no thank you. Soft greens shifted finally to her, having heard her speak to him. A slight look of confusion sweeping over his features before he decided to speak. “What for..?”
It was an innocent enough question, though he was just as confused as a puppy would have been in that circumstance.

The letter discussing the information of the further actions the Grey Wardens were going to undertake after Adamant was quick to reach Alistair. Upon the Inquisitors request, they were to assist the Inquisition with whatever power they had left. He was made aware of the sacrifice Stroud had made, and it was only right to see to it that he received the honourable acknowledgements he had sacrificed for the Wardens. Along the way, Alistair would join the Inquisition and offer his assistance, it was the least he could do. Alistair left his duties with the Hero of Ferelden in search of the cure, and proceeded to travel to Skyhold. Upon entering the gates of Skyhold, he was immediately greeted by one of the Inquisition scouts and led to the Inquisitor. “Inquisitor ~” Alistair greeted the other with the traditional Grey Warden greeting. “Thank you for... allowing the Grey Wardens this opportunity.”
