All of a sudden, the Duskborn—Luna's draconic, monstrous half—senses her fear, suddenly bursting forth in full draconic glory from right behind him, tearing the fabric of reality itself with its claws, its void-black scales glistening with eerie luminescence.
Before he can utter a word, the beast's maw snaps shut around him, swallowing him whole in one terrifying gulp—only to spit him back out moments later, drenched in saliva but miraculously unharmed, his immaculate robes now clinging to him in a sodden, disheveled mess. Luna presses a gloved hand to her mouth, her shoulders trembling with barely contained laughter, her slitted eyes glinting with unexpected amusement.

Nevertheless she still crouched down, sparing him the humiliation of everyone in Savannah witnessing him in his full glory....like that of a wet cat.
"Oh, thank Merlin you're alright, I thought something terrible happened."

The Duskborn itself peers down at the drenched Magister and the dragon-cursed princess haughtily, as it licked its own snout clean with a sniff.

How does your.... well, reptile traits externally show? I always have to pluck the obsidian scales growing on my face whenever they grow back. I don't exactly grow any horns, but I've developed everything else, like the way-too-sharp teeth for an Essail or the forked tongue.
And do you pluck the scales off your face for beauty too?

« it work a bit but soon I’ve learned about shapeshifting. And it was quite useful but still an illusion that could be shattered or see through others mages. transfiguration was the solution for me! The true transformation of something so i can appear human like. »
And without effort he changed his appearance in a blue mist.

Just to ask, if you're a tree, do you... do photosynthesis like plants to get nutrients? Or do you eat like how humans do?

So this is the Fabled Road I'm supposed to be buying instead, since the Forest Secrets one doesn't suit my taste...
