Hunting The Unknown.
The slope was rocky and uneven. Didn’t stop Geralt from reaching the top. Pausing to catch his breath, the Witcher looked over his shoulder to see how far he’d travelled.
A distant light glowed from the village at the bottom of the mountain, a tiny blip surrounded by wilderness. A tempting target for any monster looking for an easy meal.
Geralt rode across a gravelly path, spotting something in a patch of grass. He climbed off of Roach’s back, noting a trail of footsteps and churned up earth. Snf.
He smelled blood, rot and iron, the scent carrying on into a swathe of birches and oaks. His targets were close. The witcher left Roach tied to a tree and continued the pursuit on foot, the narrow mountain trails dictating the pace.
