How exactly does one find a beta reader?
Same way you become a beta reader.... just ask. They’re not mysterious creatures that require summoning rituals and blood sacrifices. I just put a post up on tumblr asking for beta readers when I need them. Put the request in the tags for whatever the read is for (the ship, the fandom, the characters, etc). Someone normally responds. If not here on tumblr, then post a story to AO3 and add a note at the end and beginning of it, or maybe add notes to your current stories saying you’re in search of a beta reader.
Can’t guarantee quality, so it may take several tries and some searching to find an actually good Beta reader which is why I will say when you find one, do not ever let go, do anything for them. They are invaluable.
