My favorite SysF fact is that Ethel canonically goes through the trouble of making up documentation that says it exists and isn’t a dead robot husk in order to avoid writing an email to a college professor who spent their entire life studying similar robot husks and would absolutely book a flight to bumfuck nowhere middle of the woods to talk to and consult with a LIVING ancient robot husk
