can you talk a little about charlie and maia??
Ooooo yes the twins! (Maia’s technically three minutes older but...)
He’s a very clumsy guy but also kinda reckless which is pretty bad combo bc he ends up w/a lotta broken bones
Definitely the life of the party, he’s always cheerful and has pretty much made of his life mission to make sure everyone around him is happy
Has a VERY short attention span
Was a cheerleader for one year but ended up being forced to quit bc he kept spraining his ankle 😔 He still sits in on practices sometimes
Strangely, is a very good ornithologist and loves to go birdwatching even tho it requires a lot of focus. Can name every bird in the region + imitate most of the bird calls
Wants to be a professor of biochemistry when she grows up
Secretly has a fashion blog that no one knows about (except Charlie)
Appears shy at first, but has a very dry sense of humor which is surprising to people once they get to know her
She’s very organized and cares a lot about keeping things neat, tidy, AND aesthetic
She plays the flute in the school band (but isn’t very good unfortunately) just like Squidward
Their family owns the best diner in town (which will be seen in the first chapter!)
They started a prank war in senior year (Maia won)
They claim they have twin powers that let them communicate telepathically, but in actuality they both just made up a secret code so it seems like they can (it took Maia almost two years to teach Charlie the secret code.. but it was worth it)
