It Lives Book Club!

Hello, everyone! Sorry for the last minute getting this set up. But I'm finally ready to post our It Lives book club info 💕 👻

Reading Schedule:

We will start Saturday, September 6

We'll be reading four chapters a week.

It Lives Beneath will follow the same format and begin on October 4.

It Lives Within will also follow the same format and begin on November 1.

Essentially: We'll read ILITW in September, ILB in October, ILW in November.

How it works:

Each Saturday, I'll post a few discussion questions and polls for each chapter. Feel free to vote, reblog, and otherwise interact with the questions!

I will be making a book club channel in the It Lives Within discord for people to chat and discuss in a more relaxed, unstructured environment. Feel free to join and chat with us!

You can also make your own discussion posts and tag them #it lives book club . I'll go through the tags weekly and reblog anything I see in the tag.

In addition to the book club, I'll attempt to stream the week's chapters on Friday through Saturday. We will see how it goes. I'm a little nervous to read everything out loud! But I will make a separate post regarding streaming 😊

Kicking off Disability Pride Month with Andy and Angel

Considering Andy’s Injury was so severe that he was forced to repeat senior year of high school due to so much medical leave, I canon that Andy was wheelchair bound for a considerable amount of time after his leg injury, and to this day he has to wear a knee/leg brace when he exercises. Angel the other hand is a high functioning autistic person with depression and generalized anxiety, as well as symptoms of PTSD from conversion therapy, his SA, and Jane’s death.

Angel spent almost all of his free time at the hospital with Andy during his intensive recovery period.

What if the It Lives anthology and Immortal Desires were in the same universe? What if the Power and the Ley lines are one and the same? The Power in Westchester was corrupted, but in Crimson Beech the vampires and humans have been honoring the source of the Power/Ley line through the Autumn Festival. The vampires need the Power to survive, so it makes sense for them to protect it. Maybe they'd go as far as to kill anyone who showed too much interest in the ley lines? Either way, the vamps protecting the ley lines prevents it from getting corrupted.

The ley lines gave ID MC powers, just like the Power did with It Lives characters. ID witches did a ritual with the Ley lines to become vampires, and Matthias and Lincoln did rituals to gain power as well.

Both the Power and the Ley lined can be used to provide and sustain life. Both can be destructive when used by the wrong person (like Matthias and the Creator).

The Power in Pine Springs and Westchester are examples of what happens when it's not protected. ID lore has made it sound like the Creators were all power hungry creatures. A group of witches who got greedy. But what if they served a deeper purpose? If the witches' purpose is to maintain balance between creatures and the earth, maybe it was the original job of the Creators and vampires to protect the Power/Ley lines, which provide livelihood to said creatures?
