“You ready to go?” Xander said as Maia came out of the hospital. It was a silly question to ask, since clearly she was ready since she was coming out of the hospital. Xander had done his best to visit her when he could but he knew once she was home, Matt was still a problem. So that was when he suggested that he stay with her. They usually worked the same shifts so he’d always be around and Matt didn’t know where Xander lived. He didn’t tell Kim about this though because....well, he wasn’t sure why. Xander didn’t think of it as that big of a deal. He was only doing what she should have done and he wanted to be able to protect her.
