Hello Hello! 𝐻𝒶𝓅𝓅𝓎 𝐹𝓇𝒾𝒹𝒶𝓎! What are your plans for the weekend? 💭 ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ I finally got Animal Crossing New Horizons! 🏝 I've been playing it for a few weeks now and I can say that I am obsessed with it. I've also just recently unlocked terraforming so I've been busy decorating my island! 🌟 ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ Also, I have you guys seen Nintendo's update for it? We finally can swim in the ocean plus there are new creatures and DIYs to collect as well! 🐚🧜🏻‍♀️ I can't wait to try it out! 𝑀𝓎𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓎 𝒲𝑒𝒹𝓃𝑒𝓈𝒹𝒶𝓎 🔎 Do you like mystery shows/films/book series? My mom was actually the one that introduced me to this genre! I remember one of the first mystery shows that I have watched was "Murder, She Wrote" which starred Angela Lansbury (a.k.a. Mrs Potts of Beauty and the Beast)! ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ This beautiful set is actually part of my #BigBadWolfBooks Haul back in 2019! I actually bought this for my mom since she is a big fan of Agatha Christie ever since she was young! I'm planning to read more mystery novels soon, so if you have any recommendations I will greatly appreciate it! ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ Also, if you guys are interested in some mystery series: 𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘱𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵! These are just some of my favorites! 🔸️Sherlock (of course!) - A modern take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's mystery tales! A definite favorite of the bookstagram community! I can't wait for Season 5 (if there are plans for it 🤞🏻). 🔸️Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries - Set in late 1920s Melbourne, this show follows the personal and professional life of Miss Phyrne Fisher — a glamorous private detective. 🔸️Busted! - Okay, this has got to be one of the funniest mystery shows I have watched! 😂 It is a South Korean show that features well-known stars as they conquer various challenges in order to solve the mystery. 🔸️The Haunting at Hill House - Well, this is not exactly a mystery series but it does has its mystery elements. I am really not a fan of scary things but what really got me to watch (and finish!) this series is the lore behind "Hill House". There was just so many questions and I needed answers! 🔸️Murder She Wrote - This is an oldie but a goodie! Jessica Fletcher is a mystery writer and an amateur detective who has a penchant for solving crimes that leads into bazarre adventures. Hello Hello! Happy Monday friends! It is officially the start of the Summer Soltice! ☀️ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ 💭 Question: Do you have a favorite stand-alone book? I think for me, Kiera Cass's "The Siren" is definitely on my #maiarecommends list! 🧜‍♀️ This book is just a quick read, you can practically finish it one sitting! I admit there were times that I was getting bored of it or was tempted to drop it ... but the ml, Ankinli really hooked me. 😩 He was complete sunshine and happiness all bottled up in one person. 💕 ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ The most interesting part for me is the concept of Ocean being its identity (think Moana 🌊, but with a hint of Romeo and Juliet) plus how Cass was able to flesh out and incorporate the siren mythology rather making it seem as a backdrop. ❗️Fair warning though that this book is a serious case of insta-love! If you are not a fan of that, it's okay. Cass has another series called "The Selection Series" and a new book that just came out called "The Betrothed" that you might want to check out! 🌟 ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ Over all, Kiera Cass didn't disappoint me. She created a world so beautiful, yet so sad at the same time. She created characters that are relatable in their own way. GUYS GUYS GUYS. I want to introduce you to one of my favorite books by @colleenhoover: CONFESS. ▪︎ ▪︎ 🌿Synopsis: Auburn Reed is determined to rebuild her shattered life and she has no room for mistakes. Hey there! Question: What is the weirdest thing that you have used as a bookmark?
