I finished the #mecha n a few hours. A bit longer than 30 minutes, but I don’t have much practice 😛 I think the #maidbot spoiled me, a bit. I feel like she was a piece of art, compared to this one. Beautiful in her compact form, and complexity. The Porta Nova felt like it was MEANT to be a beginner’s piece. Although, there is certain beauty in its simplicity. The articulation seems pretty good and it’s ability to balance is impressive. The ball joint connecting the torso comes loose too easily, though. I think if they were real, and full scale, the maidbot would probably cost several times what one of these would.
