AU: The Getaway | Mira & Wendy
"Where are you, little girl~?"
That was the only thing Wendy needed to know that she would be in trouble if she and Mirajane didn't get a move on from the . Slowly running away from the spot they were crouching in behind the building, Wendy hoped that the necromancer and sorcerer that were following them would lost their tracks soon. The last thing Wendy wanted was to be brought to some lab to be tested on since both she and Mirajane were rare supernatural beings -- half demons.
Of course, Wendy and Mirajane hadn't always been on the run, escaping from other supernaturals. Since they were little, their relationship had been like sisters because they both lived with the same mother. Their lives were as perfect as it could have been for teenage girls, but when they arrived home one day to find the house completely empty except for a little note left by their mother telling them to go run away, they knew they were in trouble.
And that was also when they discovered they were supernatural beings themselves.
As a Tempestras half-demon, Wendy was able to control the weather around her. She could call up wind, rain, and even lightning -- if she was powerful enough. But the one thing she couldn't do was summon storms. No matter how much she tried, she just couldn't do it.
But all their luck just had to turn sour with the cause of one accident, of Mirajane accidentally giving someone a second-degree burn. Because of that one incident, they were put into a group home for juvenile children, and after two weeks of staying there, the two had finally left. Them leaving the group home wasn't exactly an accurate description however, because they had actually escaped it one night.
Ever since then, they had been on the run from the group home. It was only a few days after since their escape that they found out that some of the people in charge of the group home were also supernatural beings, ranging from vampires to sorcerers and necromancers to witches and clairvoyants to werewolves.
It made it hard for Wendy to believe that she and Mirajane both belonged in the same category as the people who wanted to hunt them down for ridiculous experiments.
Together, Wendy and Mirajane did make quite a good fighting team, but they were only two half-demons; one with fire power and one that could summon the wind or rain. It wasn't enough to defeat a whole team of supernatural humans that also had werewolves and vampires in it.
