Armitozer please?! 💚 true love's kiss / magic kiss / healed
A knock on the door.
Solomon wasn't expecting anyone, it was a Sunday afternoon. He had gone down into the village in the early morning to get his share of fresh bread and meat, he had finished his carpenter job at the town's house on Thursday already—so really, there was no-one who should've come up the cliff to his little cottage and bother him.
And yet. Another knock.
He pushed himself off the low wooden stool where he had been perched in front of the unlit hearth to sharpen his tools. Half in thought still, he opened the front door, an excuse ready to throw at whoever was stood there, but the words died on his tongue.
"Solomon."
The voice. He would never forget it, he couldn't have.
"Tommy," he answered breathlessly.
The smile that crooked the other man's lips let his heart beat faster in a way he hadn't felt ever since before they were forced to abandon HMS Terror so many months ago. Tommy looked better now, though, fed up and a healthy blush on his cheeks. His blue eyes were keen, not like the last time Solomon had seen him, laid on a stretcher, scurvy ridden, shot in the shoulder, and looking like the life would slip out of him any minute.
"What are you doing here?"
The question was perplexed and Tommy smiled even more. Oh, his beautiful, cheeky smile...
"Wanted to find you. Took me a while, but..." he rubbed his hand through his short curls.
"Tommy, I—"
But the lad cut him off by stepping forwards, delicate fingers on his scarred cheek and soft lips on his. The kiss felt like electricity surging through Solomon's body, his stomach fluttering in the best way possible and it was as if all the burden was taken off his shoulders, all his anxieties dissipating into nothingness.
