i just galaxy brained. zuko/jin/mai, maijinko, also known as jin and her emos, mai and her idiots, and zuko and his brain cells

been thinking about mai and jin getting together for like a week straight and i just have to get this out of my system even tho i’ve never made a post in this format before so buckle in and let’s go:

- after zuko’s coronation the people in ba sing se eventually start talking about the new young fire lord and how he’s quite handsome despite the scar that covers half his face

- jin hears the people’s description of him and quickly sets out to find a painting of some sort bc that sounds awfully similar to that boy lee from the tea shop

- after confirming that it is indeed Her Lee who actually turns out to be called Zuko she immediately writes a personal letter for the fire lord

- like “hey LEE?? what the FUCK???”

- after weeks or maybe months (i don’t know how long it would take for zuko to get to “non-priority mail”) zuko finally reads her letter and of course writes back as soon as possible which turns out to be a week of panicking and writing and throwing out letter after letter

- he does manage to settle on a “hello, zuko here” type letter cause that’s just who he is

- after that they become pen pals and it is the cutest thing ever

- zuko tells her he’s gay

- jin is super supportive and even tells him that she thinks she is bi

- after months of back and forth letters zuko invites her to the palace for a few days

- when jin arrives zuko is waiting for her alongside his beautiful best friend whom jin remembers being briefly mentioned but zuko certainly did not tell her she was completely stunning

- mai is completely flustered upon seeing this jin zuko has been excitedly mentioning the past few weeks

- and by flustered i mean she barely blushes and nods her head with a jerk when jin says hello

- zuko notices her behavior IMMEDIATELY and is DELIGHTED to see mai acting so awkward

- so obviously he asks her to spend time with jin every minute he’s busy fire lording it up

- and the more time jin spends with mai the more she realizes she’s definitely bi and that the intimidating girl who dresses in nothing but dark colors is actually so much like zuko in the way that she is awkward and fidgety and blurts things out in the frequent nervous silences between them

- the more time mai spends with jin the more she realizes that she is absolutely a lesbian and not to mention that jin has every quality she loved about zuko. she’s shy, but confident in her abilities, fiercely loyal, and definitely not subtle.

- most of the time mai just walks with jin and let’s her explore the palace

- she doesn’t mention the fact that jin often visits the same places without realizing

- and she definitely doesn’t mention the many times their hands brush as they walk side by side

- and jin absolutely doesn’t mention the bright blush on mai’s face when she purposely brushes her hand against hers

- pretty soon the week is over and jin is back home. now with two pen pals.

- zuko has never in his life seen mai act so giddy and eventually sends a letter asking jin “what did you do to my best friend?? i think she’s broken”

- mai has also never in her life seen herself act so giddy and when she reads a letter where jin casually mentions that she thinks mai is beautiful she simply can NOT explain HOW that giggle just came from HER BODY??

- two weeks pass before jin is visiting again upon mai’s request

- one week passes before jin has a girlfriend

- and zuko can’t help but pat himself on the back for this one.

Just got Xenoverse and made her first character. Her name’s Cosette, and she’s from the Maijin Race. She has purple skin and blue eyes. 

My headcanon is that in this alternative timeline, Cosette from Les Miserables dies in early childhood from tuberculosis that she contracted from the filthy stables she was forced to clean. She gets reincarnated as a Maijin thousands of years later and joins the Time Patrol in hopes that she can travel to the past to meet her mother. 

God, that’s sad. Why do I enjoy emotionally traumatizing fictional characters?
