The street changes. But love is forever ❤️ I think this is one of the first bits of street art I ever spotted, went "That's cool, let me take a photo!" and shared with friends. Back in a snowy 2013, when Mount Pleasant was a bit more run down, the #MailRail was something urban explorers snuck into rather than a cleaned up tourist exhibition, and @thepostalmuseum was somewhere down the road. It took me *so* long to find this again… I had the original photo, I knew the area, but it just so happened that most of my wandering through this area has been in the evenings, when it's a lot harder to spot unlit graffiti two floors up. An exciting trip with @wjg22 to @thepostalmuseum so we could ride on the small part of the Post Office Railway under Mount Pleasant sorting office that has been turned into a heritage attraction. Went on an exciting trip with @wjg22 today - to @thepostalmuseum so we could ride on their underground railway! If you've not heard about it: it was a narrow-gauge underground railway that was built in 1927 and ran from Paddington to Shoreditch, solely carrying post, and with driverless remote-control trains. It's been disused for over 10 years, but recently a short section around the Mount Pleasant sorting office station was turned into a visitor attraction, with trains converted to carry passengers.
