mainermoose said: Hey, it’s not about completion rate (also I don’t game anymore?), but more about how fucking LONG that game’s been out, haha. And how psyched you were. I’m just surprised.
I guess I’m going to give this a play by play to sort of explain that then: Bioshock came out when all I was doing when I got home was cook, clean, veg, video game. I never drew. I pretty much was super stoked about it because I finished Bioshock (the first) and then shotgunned the second game and was generally just very BIOSHOCK FUCK YEAH. When it came out my computer at the time was on its last legs, so I had to use Tako’s machine to play. This is unfortunate because he uses his computer as much as I do because he works on projects after his job as well so I had to kind of time my playtimes around that.
Adding to this, several games came out within a month of Bioshock that I wanted to play and I have a bad habit of just hopping from game to game and having five-seven games going at once. This is not conducive to finishing games, really, especially when you have limited time due to extensively stressful job. ADDING TO THIS, I was increasingly depressed and felt shitty about not drawing or painting or ANYTHING for months and playing games or fucking around on the internet began to feel like me having fun when I hadn’t put in the work to enjoy it. So I stopped doing ANYTHING. Also then we moved. And then I got a better computer, but I just never really re-installed the game because it had gotten lost in the shuffle of all the other things that had happened.
And now you know the rest of the story.
Oh my god, you STILL haven't finished Bioshock????
How many games have you beaten in the last month, Abby.
