Day 16 - Your views on mainstream music.
Well this shall be an interesting blog.
Mainstream music? Personally, I think it's flyziking stupid! You can turn on K92 or Jammin' JJS or some other station and you can name off artists/bands like Nickelback, Blink 182, Taylor Swift, Puddle of Mudd, Ke$ha, Godsmack, Lifehouse, and other bands. Now cut on 94.9 Star Country, 108 WYYD, 90.9 The Light, 90.3 Spirit FM, or KLOVE and no one knows who ANY of those artists are unless you are like me and listen to those kinds of stations THEN you can name off artists like Scotty McCreery, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Toby Mac, Skillet, Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Chris August, and other bands.
There are MANY other bands and talents that are new and out and none of them are even on the radio, much less TV and I personally think it's ridiculous because it's not fair to those artists because they are NOT well known like ANY of the artists that I just listed above. If mainstream artists weren't so well known then maybe some of these other band like All Time Low could be known well.
What do you all think about this? Is it fair that only certain people are played and others cannot be played?
