『🔧』 She had been bored at work, she wasn’t above admitting such a thing; and it showed rather plainly in the way she carried herself, sauntering from bookshelf to bookshelf just looking for someone, anyone to help, anything to do. Her boredom would, thank the stars above, finally be alleviated by this pink-haired stranger - whom she had helped to find a book of marine biology, of all things. Not exactly her subject of expertise, but reading a little about turtles, the page she happened to flip to - though she remained more amazed at how damn tall she was! Whether her own diminutive height was a concern here weighed rather heavily on her mind, even as she stood there.
“W- well, uhm...” they began to think of a retort to her point, though her mind would inevitably come up blank at the prompt, her lips pursing a little awkwardly at the offer. “I- I, uhm... work, here?”, she meekly pointed out, taking the change of topic as an excuse to shut the book and return it to its correct place upon the shelf. “But, uh... I guess you’re right. And you seem like, uh... good company? As far as that goes, I guess. Uhm-...” Straightening her posture a little, she would turn to face the girl towering over her properly, preparing to take a step back, as if she were a giant who could crush her under her foot at a second’s notice. “Can I get, like... your name, or- or number, or something, if that’s what you’re going for? I still have a job to do.” Even if she was on the last half-hour of her shift...
