I love Masie and Isaac so can you do ❝ are you going to hide in my shoulder the whole time? or actually watch the movie? ❞ ?

“Malia, I don’t think deer is a snack that actual people have.” I say, cell phone pressed to my ear. “Especially not on a date, uh, I mean, is this a date?” 

“Why are you asking me? I don’t know.” She says, I can hear her switching channels on the TV. She’s still getting used to not living in the forest and the novelty of TV hasn’t quite worn off yet. “Sniff him when he walks in, he’ll smell different if it is a date.” 

It’s a strange suggestion, but I see where she’s coming from. I think she means pheromones… but I’m going to assess by whether he’s wearing cologne or not. The doorbell rings. “He’s here, I gotta go Malia.” I cut her off mid-sentence, asking for all of the details later no doubt. Or giving me some more weird coyote advice. 

When I swing the door open, he’s grinning at me lazily, leant up against the doorframe. I can’t help it, I breathe in a little too deeply and sure enough, a hint of cologne. The smile is instantaneous. 

“Come in,” I say, stepping aside to let him in. “I thought we could watch some movies, eat popcorn?” 

“Sounds great. What’s first on the watch list?” Isaac asks, waiting for me to close the front door and lead him to the living room. He follows a little distance behind me. I’ve already put the popcorn out in a big bowl on the coffee table with a couple of cans of soda. “Very well prepared.” He observes, sitting down on the sofa and reaching forward to grab a few pieces of popcorn. 

“I thought we could watch Paranormal Activity 3 first, it’s one of my favourites.” I say, and I watch the colour fade from his face though he tries to play it off. 

“Sure, sounds great.” He manages, and I try not to smirk. All those jokes about being too tiny an Alpha, and now there’s a Beta on my couch looking like he’s going to be sick because of a scary movie. 

He makes it through the first thirty minutes with only a jump here and there. But after an hour he’s hiding behind pillows and trying to use me as a human shield against the make believe spirits. I can’t control the urge to laugh any more, unable to protect his pride any longer. 

“Are you going to hide behind me the whole time? Or actually watch the movie Isaac?” I say, turning my face to look at him hiding behind me. He smiles then, leaning forward a little to press a quick, light kiss to my lips. 

“Tricked you. I just wanted to do that. Figured getting you to pity me was the easiest way.” He says, sitting back upright and slinging an arm around my shoulders to pull him in closer to him. I slap the back of my hand against his chest as a half-hearted attempt to chastise him. 

“Idiot.” I say, feeling his chest shudder with a chuckle.

Lähetin ja olin tosi turhautunut, kun mun piirrosta ei näytetty siellä! Muistaakseni jossain juontajan takana seinällä oli kans lasten lähettämiä juttuja, mut se ei edes päässyt sinne nyyh.
