4. Favorite non-sexual activity?
Taking Shogetsu out for a walk. But secondly - and believe it or not - sparring. Once Mai finds it fun to spar with her war fans, there’s little that stops her from sparring with either Masamune or Kojuro, and it’s a nice way to burn out energies and exercise somewhat healthily.
18. Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?)
Masamune, definitely. He takes excruciating care she always has all the meals she needs to go on for the day, and if left freely to decide on whether diet she should have, he’d most certainly sort to the most healthier for Mai.
He tries his best to always act pretty cool towards his reasons to drop her meals every time he does so - sort of like doing it as casually and nonchalantly as he can - dropping notes such as:
“Yojiro came by with these crabapples and thought you’d like some to have on while having your medicine lessons. PS: Leave one on Ieyasu’s desk. He’ll eat it eventually.”
Or, “You said your grandmother made zunda-mochi for you when you were young. I’d like to know if mine are better. Come see me in the evening and let me know.”
Or, “I’ve made this dango while thinking of you. Have at it, kitten. PS: Don’t let Mitsuhide have any, the bastard doesn’t know to appreciate a well-made snack.”
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
Kojuro is the first one to notice and thoroughly approve of their relationship, becoming more than glad that Masamune finally has a true partner to keep up with his wild pace. He’s more often than not quite the enabler for the two of them to have some quality time together and has Mai on high esteems despite her odd nature as a person who’s not from their world and time. He’s also pretty much the confident of both parties, doing his best to help them sort out their differences to the best of his extent.
Shigezane falls for Mai’s charming nature pretty much instantly, wanting to know absolutely everything about her once they barely meet, bugging and poking Masamune to even certain extents to make him almost jealous. What’s her favorite color? And food? Does she like hunting? I imagine she’s already aware of your horrible snoring, right? Oh and can she hold her liquor? We need a drinker around here, and I’ll be glad to leave you to her when you get smashed.
While Mitsuhide at first openly challenged Masamune for Mai’s attentions, he’s become pretty much satisfied with staying in the sidelines, and later is the first one to create weird situations to which those two can spend some quality time together. To what goes from what you could say Masamune’s side with Mitsuhide, happens to Mai’s side with Shingen, to a certain extent. And Sasuke, on another note, ends up taking the same place as Kojuro towards Masamune - encouraging and enabling Mai’s wishes to the same extent.
