For The Crafty (& not so crafty) Ones
Scrolling through Pinterest, if you're like most of us, you may feel a twinge of crafty-envy. (crafty-envy: that moment when you spot a project posted by a friend, like retiling your kitchen backsplash, making your own jewelry or sewing some new pillows for your "sitting room" and think "Ooooo, I could totally do that!" and only after puchasing all of the materials to make said project do you realize that your pinterest account unfortunately did not gift you with craft-osmosis and you better leave it to the professionals, hence envy for former mentioned crafty friend). However, we were recently introduced to a company that might make crafty ladies out of us all -> Maison Blanche Paint. Their vintage furniture paint formula contains chalk, making it ideal for most surfaces. The paint is offered in 32 colors, does not contain chemical drying agents and is low in organic volatile compounds, "making it a green and eco-friendly alternative to oil based paints so often used on furniture" plus it has little to no odor. You can find this paint at various retailers - click here to find out where you can find Maison Blanche Paint in your state. And, we must note that Maison Blanche will be selling exterior paint soon.
For those of you who are still skeptical about trying to refurbish anything on your own, never fear! Many of the retailers who sell this particular paint also offer workshops or refurbishing services.
