I still love this series
Headed into the big city to hit up Lowe’s for garden dirt, then ran around to get things for the Airbnb and my son’s room. I struck out on a desk for him … both options I saw online were just too small for my gentle giant. The search continues. Did find the map I was looking at for over his bed. 50% off. Woot!
So wrapping up the day with a Mai Tai while James grills some ribeyes. Eldest daughter is here for the weekend so she’s washing clothes and bedding (van life, eh?) and 3 guests in the Airbnb until Monday.
Twelve Days of Self-Shipmas - Day 4 - Bedroom - MaiTai
Here's day 4 of Self-Shipmas, as found in this post! This time it's one of my BNHA ships with Fatgum / Taishiro Toyomitsu, MaiTai!
“Mai, you home?” Fatgum called as he started to walk into their now-shared apartment, a plastic bag in hand.
He’d finished his patrol, ever thankful for the fact that he’s so warm natured when he saw so many people bundled up in jackets to combat the cold. But seeing so many jackets made him worry about Mai, realizing he’s… not sure how she stays warm in the winter?
Happy Anniversary to us! Four years together, one year living together, and so much growth as individuals and as our own little family—we’re still learning and growing, but we’re lucky to be on this journey together. The love, the mutual support, and the laughs keep us going during the tough times, and we are grateful for all the good times. Thank you Todd, for caring for us and for truly loving me - I love our life and I love you, babe. 😘🖤🍹🌺✨ . . Special thanks to @balihairestaurant for a beautiful meal and our special treat, and to my homegirl @malcriadamoda for my lovely custom top! 🖤💛🤍💛🖤 . . @joatwood @two__tyred #happyanniversary #happyanniversarytous #fouryears #mydude #love #balihaisandiego #balihairestaurant #maitai #balihaimaitai #anniversarydinner #tiki #tikistyle #gothtiki #thecramps #sandiego #sandiegotattooer #sandiegotiki #tattooedcouple #dirtbags #mrbalihai (at Bali Hai Restaurant) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQaK-EOjEBM/?utm_medium=tumblr
Mai Tai!
The Mai Tai was introduced to Hawaii in 1953 and quickly became one of the most popular cocktails on the islands. But, according to a Californian restaurateur named Trader Vic, the tale of the Mai Tai began in 1944 at his tiki restaurant in Oakland. The restaurant was a place where people could escape reality and be transported to the tropics while enjoying tropical flavored cocktails. One night, Trader Vic decided to create a new exotic rum drink for two special Tahitian guests. After taking a sip, one guest said, “Mai Tai-Roa Aé,” which means “out of this world - the best” in Tahitian. And so, the Mai Tai was born!
