সালানপুর:- করোনার প্রকোপ আগের তুলনায় অস্বাভাবিকের চেয়ে এখন কিছুটা স্বভাবিক , এরই মধ্যে জমে উঠেছে মাইথনে পিকনিক । আগের বছরের তুলনায় মানুষের ভিড় অনেকটাই কম , তাও কিছু সংখ্যক পর্যটকরা আসছে। শনিবার থেকে শুরু হয়েছে পিকনিক পার্কিং ফী। সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য করা হয়েছে পার্কিং ফী সুবিধে । কিন্তু পর্যটকদের অভিযোগ পার্কিং ফী দিয়েও পাওয়া যাচ্ছে না কোনো প্রকার সুবিধা এবং স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগ লক্ষাধিক টাকা দিয়ে…

উদয় সিং ,আসানসোল: উত্তর বঙ্গোপসাগরে সৃষ্ট নিম্নচাপের জেরে আগামী কয়েকদিন ধরে রাজ্য জুড়ে বিক্ষিপ্ত বৃষ্টির পূর্বাভাস রয়েছে। কোথাও হাল্কা, কোথাও মাঝারি, আবার কোথাও ভারী থেকে অতি ভারী বৃষ্টির পূর্বাভাস দিয়েছে আবহাওয়া দপ্তর। বুধবার থেকেই রাজ্যের একাধিক জেলায় শুরু হয়েছে বৃষ্টি ।

Garh Panchkot is a hidden archaeological site in Bengal, which dates back to probably the 90 AD. Located right by the Panchet Lake along the slopes of Panchet Hill in the Purulia district of West Bengal, this pretty forested area was once a fortified area. The Rajas of Panchkot were the Singh Deo dynasty. The fort has seen a lot and that includes the Bagri attack in the 18th century which left the whole place destructed. The fort was destroyed and ransacked and as a result, only its ruins were left. The hilly landscape and the surrounding area gives you a sense of nostalgia and calm. This dam is one of the many which was built on the Damodar to tame it.This river was earlier known as ‘Sorrow of Bengal’ for the annual floods that used to be caused by it during the monsoon but not any more.The dam is built on the Bengal-Jharkhand (erstwhile Bihar) border. The drive is about 30 mins from Asansol and approx 1 hr from both Durgapur & Dhanbad.
