ok I don’t know what spurred you on to send this to me and i’m rusty on tmi knowledge but
mark: is a shadowhunter but is raised mundane for Reasons (basically clary but… not with that wild ass backstory lol). everyone expects him to be super bad at training when he gets to the institute but he picks up a lot of stuff really easily??? his choice of weapon is a classic seraph blade, deals some serious damage but isn’t without the occasional boo boo bc he was swinging it around to look cool in front of the younger shadowhunters and accidentally sliced his hand open
renjun: HNNNNGNG not as human-cultured as donghyuck, he’s spent a lot of time with mainly shadowhunters and it shows sometimes in his mannerisms when he has to do any sort of espionage on missions. he’s gotten really good at it by observing mark in his natural awkward habitat tho. his weapon of choice is anything sharp that he can project at you. he really likes throwing stars but for bigger kill, he’s got daggers and the like. great at distance and aim, but he prefers chucking his weapons himself rather than propelling them with something else
jeno: also like renjun, less exposed to mundanes, but he does like to hang around downworlders. he believes there shouldn’t be any kind of divide between them, despite the fact that the traditionalists think so. this is also how he gets hits about rogue downworlders causing trouble for the others. became friends with vampire!jaemin on a night out at a downworlder bar when things went south between the latter and a demon. jaemin now says he owes him his life even tho jeno has repeatedly said he doesn’t want it. his weapon is to kill them with kindness he has a bow and arrow
donghyuck: oh mannnnn this kid was raised around shadowhunters, surrounded by the culture and everything but he was still allowed to make friends and hang out with a lotta mundanes because his parents wanted him to have the best of both worlds. he likes to train with the other boys for fun, but he gets really serious when in battle. carries two (2) seraph blades and twirls ‘em around all cool in battle because he’s just That bitch
jaemin: ok i know you said shadowhunters!dream but listen. vampire!jaemin. one of the immortal sons of night who befriended jeno and was totally surprised to find a shadowhunter who wasn’t Mean to downworlders. they become bffs. jaemin got turned only a few hundred years ago, but he keeps himself current and modern bc he’ll be damned if he’s considered Old. he also is a bomb ass ally in combat if only the shadowhunters had “the balls” to ask him for help. till then, he’s chill with just helping jeno and co. every now and then. weapon of choice is those pearly whites but he doesn’t drink from unwilling humans. there’s apparently a market for that, after all
chenle: THE CUTEST SHADOWHUNTER LEMME TELL YOU. everyone’s baby. on his first mission everyone was fretting over him and concerned that he probably couldn’t handle it, it was too early, blah blah blah. then chenle comes back from slaying like five demons with demon gunk all over his leather jacket and he’s like “cool, let’s get milkshakes. last one through the door pays”. goes with jeno to the downworlder joints to hang out and get to know people. he also likes going to places where mundanes frequent to make quick friends. weapon of choice is a lance. once he starts swinging that thing around it’s game over
jisung: somehow everyone just decided chenle was the baby even though jisung is the Actual Baby. jisung has been ready to fight since he popped out of the womb. little dude has been training since he was old enough to hold things, so he’s really good with anything. the joke in any battle with the dreamies is to toss jisung literally anything and see if he can manage with it. jisung is so down. once fended off a gaggle of demons with a pocket umbrella and sheer force of will. don’t fuk with jisung cause he can and will kill you
