Maja Planinac
Problem Library is excited to share the photographic work of Maja Planinac with her first solo showing in the United States. Born in former Yugoslavia and educated in Belgrade, Serbia, Maja is a cinematographer and photographer working in digital, 35mm and medium format film; often using multiple exposures to create surrealist images of powerful psychological symbolism.
Maja is able to “capture phenomena that exist between the raw and sophisticated, the real and surreal, and the deeply personal and public. [Her] photography examines the boundaries between incompatible worlds.”
Maja's work will be up through the end of the year.
