OKAY so I have Polta headcanons omg
He doesn't like to fool around. He gets the job done no matter what (nearly). Any responsibilities he may have he is sure to take care of rather than procrastinate on them, even if he is reluctant to do so. He likes to keep busy and becomes restless when he's not doing anything.
He really doesn't have a sense of humor and he's pretty serious most of the time. He doesn't tolerate others slacking off or trying to be funny so he snaps at them even when he has no authority. Of course he'll keep his mouth shut around superiors.
Speaking of which he's a total suck-up and does virtually whatever to gain the approval of higher ranking members. He's such a coward that he won't even voice his own opinions if it means he'll get a dirty look.
It may look like he takes risks but in reality he acts on impulse and doesn't think things through. He doesn't realize what consequences would result from a badly executed plan, or just a bad plan to begin with. He lets anger and impatience get the better of him. He doesn't know what it means to "cool off."
He's the type to hold a grudge and will constantly find a way to exact his revenge. Even when he has, the fact that he's been wronged/humiliated will still bother him and he'll probably take it to his grave.
He doesn't get attached to anyone, simply because he's cold and he doesn't care enough about other people. If he gets close to someone it's usually for his own benefit. He's annoyed by other people and so prefers being on his own.
He's an introvert, but mainly because he has a better chance of being alone than he would being outdoors. People annoy him, and he isn't a friendly person. Rather than get into an uncomfortable situation, he'll isolate himself, if he can. Being in an organization with many other people around him doesn't make it easy for him, but since most of them are people he knows, he manages to handle it the best way he can.
His visor is very important to him; probably the only thing he treasures. Without it, he feels nude, and he doesn't let anyone touch it under any circumstances. He doesn't like to be seen with it off, partly because it feels unnatural since he's almost always wearing it, and partly because it makes him feel self-conscious. He doesn't exactly know the reason why, but he figures his eyes are better off covered.
He's a lousy Zoid pilot which is why he'll cheat at any given opportunity. If he can break the rules, he'll break them. Being dishonest is in his personality and helps when you're part of the Backdraft Group.
But he's also an overall loser and liar so that helps too.
He has no interest at all in romance or any sexual activity. He thinks romantic involvement causes problems and brings unnecessary complications. He's never felt attracted toward anyone, so he doesn't know what his sexuality is, but he doesn't care and he never thinks about it. The man is probably an aromantic asexual but because of my own wicked desires I tend to think what he'd be like if he happened to maybe develop some deep feelings yyyyyeah
AND IF HE DID he'd probably do everything in his power to deny his feelings and push those thoughts out of his mind. He'd reprimand himself for being weak and letting those kinds of influences get the better of him. But he'd get all nervous and awkward (and he'd be immature about it) when he's around that person, trying so hard to mask his emotions and act indifferently toward them. But if they flirt with him or something he'll have no idea what to do since he doesn't have that kind of experience or knowledge so he's really bad at ignoring them or pushing them away. He'd probably start yelling his head off and overreacting because he doesn't want to deal with that shit but he can't run away from his feelings. And he gets all blushy and uncomfortable and tries to get away from them but it's obvious he has those same feelings or else he wouldn't be so insecure.
