first in my bloodline to read yaoi at the function
my bf came to see me but there were two dead cockroaches in the airbnb and we are stressed 🥲 but somehow when you have a reason to be somewhere, or a strong feeling, you learn to push through your discomfort. i feel bad because things are culturally complicated and they can’t stay with me (i live at home w/family), but i feel so loved when despite this i hear them say they’re happy to be with me and it’s worth seeing me. i look forward to the day where we can live together and build our own life with our own rules. it’s been three and a half years, and i still feel deeply wanted. ;)

one of my most massive pet peeves online is when people see something and immediately ask what aesthetic it is! it is frustrating to me that people are so quick to try to categorize and commodify certain looks. it's definitely just a result of end-stage capitalism but the whole "cool girl" trend and others really make me upset...like i'll go on pinterest and see a drawing i like and below 5 people asking what aesthetic it is and then some random combines 6 different buzzwords to try and contain it but i wish that people would focus more on learning what they enjoy or like about certain images or clothing or drawings instead of hyper-fixating on a category. i remember when i was younger i used to have so much fun going down rabbit holes trying to figure out where a picture came from, or who made a certain piece! i just feel like people are missing out on the brain building that comes from working hard to find something and the experience of truly discovering things. finding blogs and magazines, movies, a new brand you like...everything tastes so much sweeter when you spend more time thinking about why rather than what...
i don't think aesthetic terms don't have any place in the world but i just would challenge anyone that is asking something like that to take another step and wonder what it is about the image that compels them, and ask better questions <3
my recent pizzas and keiyaa after the showwww she was so nice omg and looked so cute in this picture even though it’s a little blurry I’m so glad I went to say hi even though I had nothing much to say
beauty is in the eye of the holster
i’m super interested in the african cafés and clubs of the 70s. every time I’ve read about them in Nigerian lit, the hazy atmosphere, mosquitoes buzzing around, smells of kerosene and beer and disco music have enamored me. I want to try and recreate a feeling like that…if anyone has any pictures or sources relating to 70s establishments in any african country (north, west, east, anywhere) pleaseeeee guide me im itching for more
i’m taking the greyhound from connecticut to boston and my assigned seat was 8A but the floor was wet and there was food on the ground. For a moment i thought I was going to just have to sit there the whole time and it was upsetting me a lot…often when im confronted with things that are gross or dirty in my near proximity i feel visceral disgust crawl beneath my skin. i was deeply disturbed, maybe at the sticky floor or the small bit of a fry on the side. luckily, this is a one stop express bus and there were many open seats so i just moved as soon as everyone got on the bus, but i often think about how privileged i am to spend my time worrying about grime, instead of more essential things.
that said i’m terrible at keeping things clean and deeply want to be a super tidy and neat person but with ADHD i’ve always had trouble maintaining a routine, or having something stable. how do other ADHDers keep things neat or clean?
