I gotta admit that I miss my lake... I love my new home, but I miss the lake and the animals very much. My neighbor is feeding the animals for me so I'm very happy about that. The little park around the corner brings Petey and I great joy every day... it's just gonna take a little more time to get used to not having that lake in my backyard and not hanging out with the birds and squirrels every day. I went from the wide open spaces to a small, fenced yard surrounded by houses... it's a big change. On the very, very bright side, Petey loves having her own backyard so I'm good with all of this change. When Petey is happy, I'm happy!!! I think we're going to have to venture out this weekend and go somewhere amazing and look at the water there. That will soothe my soul, in a big way!! Life is what you make it, and I tend to be grateful for what I have and to find the joy and beauty in what's around me, as much as possible. I'm very thankful that I got to live in a house with a lake in my backyard. That's a great gift!!! I'm gonna take pictures of a place that's just as beautiful near here this weekend and focus on that. That will help a lot. I'm looking forward to doing that very much.
