thanks to twitter and tumblr i know i am not the only person who finds ruby sparks a little problematic. pretty much the manic pixie dream girl trope incarnate. i guess i'd have to watch the movie before i critique it more, but it doesn't sit well with me.
i wish hollywood would make movies with women in them that are more than just tools to pull the male characters out of funks and depressions.
Ok, so this "Make Ruby Real" movie bullshit looks like the most bullshit male fantasy movie ever. Writer dude creates the perfect girl for himself to love on paper then she becomes real? COME ON.
