why do sff worlds often have such dull, boring, uninspiring religions?
like you’re gonna create a whole world and make your main religion a copy/paste of pre-protestant European Catholicism with different names? or just write bad versions of Greek myths with different character names? or you’re just gonna hand wave and be like “we are too smart in the future to have religions” because you cannot fathom religion as anything but “fake science for dumb people”
like? get creative, my dudes. you are boring me to tears.
