PSA - thinking you are not heard should not lead to compliance - SHOUT LOUDER
A great king once said, “Two people in a room can get more done than two hundred.” The state of modern politics as it is consists of the latter, hordes of the elderly, the gluttonous, the venal deciding what is best for a nation and the people they supposedly serve.
Time and time again they fail us, and time and time again we wonder why this happened. There are many reasons out of our control, such as the corruption power and status brings to the weak willed and self serving, but all too often what I hear from people around me is an age old phrase;
“I don’t vote because I don’t believe in either party.” Or “I don’t vote because I don’t care about politics.”
The very act of living is political, because you live under the boot of these pigs whose very mandates seek to undo bit by bit the services and facilities so many depend on, and so by living you defy their intentions. At best this destruction is caused by woeful incompetence, at worst through malicious greed. By discarding your vote you throw down your weapon in the face of the horde and simply accept what they will do to you.
Even when it seems pointless, vote. Even when your faith wanes, vote. No matter what, you have to vote, from the local elections all the way to the national. Your vote is your sword, your axe, your voice, and it is not a paltry thing to be cast aside.
Here’s the thing. I voted for Biden specifically because I didn’t want Trump in office anymore. That was my first and last reason for voting Biden. I’m sorry, but I just do not see voting third party as viable in today’s political structure. I think that sucks and I would love to vote third party, I just don’t think it’s a viable option.
So I was under no delusions that Biden was gonna be a good president. I did not vote for him thinking he was gonna ‘fix’ this country. I voted for him purely because he’s not Trump. And by that metric alone, I thought it would be an improvement, if only just.
And while part of me wants to say that, yes, things would be monumentally worse if Trump was still in office, I’m not just going to ignore the shit job Biden is doing right now just because I voted for him.
And, frankly, neither should anyone else who voted for him. You didn’t just ‘win’ when Biden got put in office. You and I are now accountable for everything Biden does because it was our votes that put him into power. The onus is on us to make Biden know that he is not acting in the will of the people who gave him his position. Don’t just toss what he’s doing under a rug because you voted for him. Don’t just smile and ignore it because you ‘won’ the election.
Our role in this is so much more than checking a box on a piece of paper. Biden is the president we voted for so he’s the president we’re accountable for. His failings are on us to bring to light and make sure he knows “No, this is NOT what we wanted you to do. And we are NOT going to make excuses for you.”
And, right now, we’re not doing a good enough job at it.
We still are ‘the Will of the People’ and we can still make our voices heard, no matter who is in office.

Make no mistake; our freedom to vote is under attack.
With over 400 voter suppression bills passed in 48 states in the past 6 months alone, we need federal action to stop voter suppression now.
This month the senate is going to be voting on the For the People Act. This Act seeks to stop gerrymandering, stop barriers that are preventing black and brown people from getting to the ballot box.
What I want everybody to do is call this number so that you can be connected to your senator: 888-453-3211.
I want you to keep calling them every day so that they know that you want this bill to be passed.
If we all band together, I think we can do this. Don't take your foot off their necks.

Let's go tumblr, let's get this bill passed!
Say it nicely, at first, but keep saying it until it is heard. -- Michael Lipsey

Please take the time to answer this short poll.
No lie...
I tried to make a post about Net Neutrality and what the government is doing and how we the people aren't being heard... What some of you may not know is some of the ket neutrality laws have already been repealed and running since April 27th... I find it to be NO coincidence that my very Anti-Trump, political post that encouraged people to think for themselves and NOT follow whatever the Media says, was suddenly "unable to post for unknown reasons" when I was able to make other posts moments before and this post just after.... Internet Glitch My Ass! See THEY'RE ALREADY TRYING TO SENSOR US!
Call your senators and Speak Out against this repeal of Net Neutrality or watch your internet freedom disappear.
