This two-week practicum has been tough, but not for the reasons it should be. Sure, trying to give students the information that they need in a relevant and more applicable way is a feat, but last night I broke down because of my frustrations and from a blow that hurt my heart. But today a boy in my SAVE Theatre class told me that I was great and that I would be a great teacher, and I am more confident in my future as an actor, director, musician, playwright, and educator (on my own terms) than I have ever been, and, as an added goal of 2018, I will not let anybody tell me otherwise or try to undermine me any longer.
