I just love the body of Christ. It’s just the truth. It’s crazy because even though I belong to Koinonia (best church on the planet, j/s lol), even when I visit other churches, it’s so neat to hug (or air hug these days), talk about our issues, be vulnerable, and see that we aren’t alone in much of what we face. I’m grateful. The early church was so heavily persecuted, killed, burned, made to be a sport for other people’s pleasure, and all because they chose to follow Jesus. Even now, my brothers and sisters in other parts of the world are still being killed for the faith. Some would probably die to read one page of the Bible I so often take for granted or struggle to read for a full 5 minutes. I’m sure they’d give anything to step into a church and worship with other believers (which is just…I have no words. When we worship together…it’s just beautiful). It breaks my heart that they don’t have the freedom I have. One day, we will all be together in Heaven, worshipping our great God. Until then, I’ll pray for the body of Christ. I’ll pray for the persecuted, the weary, the ones with fading faith. And I’ll try my best with the help of the Holy Spirit to love deeply, forgive easily, and be thankful every single time I can lay eyes on a fellow believer. This world needs our light.
