Meet Sammy... he's my nephew. A few first things you may notice about Sammy is that he has slurred speech, frequent outbursts and doesn't really mind his momma on most days. Sammy has Autism. I didn't understand it when he was little and would order him to chill out but now, I know and I understand he can't control his ways. Also, what you don't see is that Sammy is a boy full of love and kindness. He is a sweet and gentle soul. And, he'll beat anyone around at a game of Pokémon! Plus he loves animals and of course, Marvel comics (because of his Titi - me 😘). 💙💙💙💙 Sammy turns 16th on the 10th of December. What a hard time to have a birthday, especially for an autistic kid with little to no friends. He wants so bad to have a bday party this weekend but because he's been mainstreamed in public school (the boy is academically gifted), my sister, his mom, fears his peers won't show up so we'd like to ask you-- YES YOU, to take a moment and share our post, and if you can spare a FOREVER Stamp (you know you have them for your holiday cards), to please SEND Sammy a Birthday Card. It will really make his day brighter and let him know people don't just see the naughtiness that may come with him having autism but people do care and kindness does exist in the world enough to make our sweet boy be celebrated on his day. 16 was a huge milestone for me and you growing up, so let's make it a memorable one for him too!
